About

Hello, I’m Dr. Ford McCurry.

I am originally from East Tennessee but have lived in multiple states throughout my life including Kentucky, Indiana, and California.  I was recruited to play collegiate baseball at Berea College in Berea, KY.  The atmosphere at Berea College was unique and helped influence my life in many ways.  It encouraged the value of responsibility, openness, and learning.  Berea College is one of nine federally recognized work colleges in the nation, meaning every student holds a labor position that helps pay for the cost of education.  After college, I returned to Tennessee where I earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice & Criminology and worked full-time. I eventually returned to the state of Kentucky for a doctoral program at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky where I completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)

During my free time I enjoy cooking out with friends and family, remodeling projects, self-growth, and spending time outdoors.  I love a good trail in the mountains as well as a spot on the beach.
